With the last month being super busy, there has been a lack of time to do any personal projects. It will be nice to finish everything up, and finally have some more time to sit down and learn again. With Lake City Centre launching today, and GoldFish Pacific Kitchen nearing its phase 3 launch, I will soon get some extra time to play. Currently I am working on a few projects for some undisclosed clients, but with quick turn around times, they will be out the door soon. Summer is here, now its time to enjoy it.
I just got back from a 2 week vacation. Before I left, tdSwansburg Design Studio’s site was launched. Check it out at tdesign.biz.
Over the next little while I plan on designing a new portfolio & blog. Im not in a big hurry, so don’t expect for at least a few weeks.

I have been busy the last 2 months I have not been posting. Recently I found out I will be building v2.0 of the Cogneto website. I started at the begining of the week and am already at a really good place. The site will be running off a full featured CMS and have a few little hidden features. It should be launching soon, so I will post when there is something to see.
So here we are, another month has gone by, and summer is almost over. Its sucks to think about how fast the time goes by. Anyways, work has been pretty hectic as usual. I seem to say that alot, but I guess the work never keeps flowing. Recently I have been working on a few “confidential” projects, so thats reason for the lack of posting. Along with those, I have taken on a few other jobs, including Blueprint Fundraising (this is a link to the current site). The new site will be designed by Isabelle over at seven25 design, and then passed off to me for a rip and build of the actual site. It will all be built off wordpress, with quite a few tweaks to get it to function and look just right. Keep a lookout here for the launch.
On another note. tdSwansburg design studio, which is a interior design company from Vancouver/Victoria, has finaly started back up again. After a 3-4 month break, where the company went through a idenity overhaul (largly based on the site design I created in February 2006), the project is wrapping up. It is expected to have a mid August launch date. I will keep you all informed. Later
So recently work has picked back up at Free Agecncy. I have been working hard knocking out projects trying to get them done as fast as I can, but with out loosing any of that classic “sweet site” feel. Over the last week I have been hella busy. I knocked out 2 sites in about 6 days. The first site was for a physiotherapy clinic called Sungod Physiotherapy. You can check out what was built in a matter of about 4 days here. Sungod Physio. The other site I finished up in about a day and a half, it have a very fun and playful, yet corporate feel. Check it out, I’m sure you will like the way it feels. Cogneto.
YSPWSD is a Vancouver band which Cody Fennell recently designed a website for. He built a city of paper buildings, and after a few months of photoshop work, he fishished the design and gave me a call. In about 8 hours work, I managed to get the site built and to a really good stage. There are still a few things that need to be tweaked, but the majority of it is done. Check it in my archive.. For the last little while I have been working hard at the agency. Building all the little websites that my heart desires. Tomorrow I start working on the series of dockside green websites, first one to the plate is Synergy. Should be a nice quick build, its only the first phase of this particular site so it does not have that much information on it.
Over the last few weeks I have been working on some basic updates to the cottages on saltspring site, but the most notible one is coming soon. I have been busy building mockups and getting approval from the clients for how the new floorplan engine will work. Basically I am building a flash movie that runs with an included xml document. The xml document includes information about the availablity, sq footage, and cottage number. The flash engine then takes this information and processes it so it shows up and displays the information when you roll over the relative cottage. Its really awesome how it works, on a side note, I have also built an updater in the engine, so it re-downloads the information and applys it on the fly every 30 seconds. Its gonna do wonders when this engine is applied to the full screen programs we have been building for the presentation centres. Well, till the next post. later.
Times are tough and busy as hell. So stella is finally finished, launched, and out of my hair (for a matter of a few days im guessing). Either way i really enjoyed working on the project and i cant wait to start on the next one (Dock Side Green). It has been said that it will be even more dawn and dirty with the interactive peices, we are definatly pushing the bar when it comes to real estate sites. I feel really lucky to be involved.
So everything is going awesome at free agency. I have been working really hard on my little flash applications. Today i spend most of the morning manipulating my view engine that was build for the stella website. I had to be modified so it could run full screen on a 27 inch monitor, which will be going in the stella presentation center this thursday. I must say this thing looks amazing, both the monitor and the view engine. Well enough with the bragging.
